180mm Optical Glass Dome Port
The 180mm Optical Glass Dome Port is our first and signature
product. Designed specifically for optical light transmission for sensitive
optics of modern digital SLRs, the Pro One dome is 180mm (approx 7 inches)
in diameter, weighs 630g, and is made of high-quality optical glass manufactured
in Germany.
What makes this dome stand out from the crowd is the extensive quality
control in its manufacture, and the 5-layer optical coating applied to
the interior of the dome. 5-layered optical coating is a difficult and
time-consuming process, but results in significantly improved light transmission
- a difference that you'll see in your photos.
The dome fits a range of housings. It comes with a black aluminum shade
and a custom-made protective neoprene cover that's coated on both sides
(so the cover doesn't stick to the dome and leave an unwanted residue).
The Pro One dome is ideal for fisheye lenses, as well as most wide range
of lenses (with the use of appropriate extension tubes).
